Lekythos

Miniature squat lekythos with short thin neck and a conical mouth which is flat and circular at the top. The lekythos has a small handle from the shoulder to underneath the conical top. On its main body there is a red-figure head of a woman framed by half palmettes. The base of the lekythos is flat and outlines by two tiered rings. There are small abrasions on the main body and in many areas the black lustrous glaze has falled off and there is a restored part of the flat top of the mouth.
