Lentils, Lens culinaris. Collected at Hawara by W. M. Flinders Petrie, 1889. Kept within a glass test tube with cork stopper. Annotation in black in on a piece of paper kept inside the tube by Percy Newberry: "Hawara Roman Lentils". CONDITION NOTE 1998: Whitish bloom to one lentil. Dimensions are for the container.
