Letter from FJ Blake, Superintendent Engineer, White Star Line, Southampton to Messrs Ismay, Imrie & Co (White Star Line), Liverpool, forwarding Joseph Bell (Chief Engineer of RMS Olympic)'s report (see DX/504/12/1) on the performance of Olympic on her maiden voyage to New York. Dated 6 July 1911.
Blake agrees with most of Bell's suggestions, and reports on various measures taken since the maiden voyage. A diver had been sent down to examine the propeller blades and nuts, which had all been found to be 'good and solid'. The letter is initialled by several managers from the Liverpool Head Office, including Sanderson and Cauty.
