Letter from James Brightman

From the Guide to the Records of Merseyside Maritime Museum, volume 2: James Brightman of Liverpool, emigrated to Victoria, Australia in 1861, and became manager of a quartz mine at Springdallah, Smythdales, near Ballarat. In a letter to his cousin, Ellen in South Wales, he describes the ships on which he has sailed, the Sir Isack (sic), Lyan (sic), Goldsmith and the Golconda, 1861. This is an example of a cross written letter.
