Lime box

Small, circular, silver lime box or trimi used for storing pan or betel leaf. The lid is decorated with a large norbu gongkhil or swirling jewel which forms a finial this is surrounded by a band of four petal lotus alternatively inlaid with turquoise. The whole is covered in repousse designs of swirling foliage and lotus leaves, some highlighted with gilding.
