Lime box

Large silver lime box or trimi used for storing pan or betel leaf. The box and lid are decorated with bold, deep fret work. The box features designs of swirling foliage in high relief, with details and motifs highlighted with gilding. The lid has a raised finial of lotus leaves finished with a piece of turquoise. The box features five sensory symbols on the lid and the Eight Auspicious symbols as a band around the circumference.
