Lion on plinth

Lion, one of a pair (to LL 6676), seating on rectangular plinth, has a ball of brocade revolving on a spindle under his fore-paw; the eyes movable. Porcelain, enamelled on the biscuit with pale green body and details in aubergine, yellow, etc. Its hair picked out with yellow, and on the forehead is a medallion with the character 'Wang' (King). On the plinth is design of archaic dragons and cranes. The ball of brocade is pierced in open work.
