Liverpool from Tranmere

This watercolour was previously thought to be by John Glover (1767 - 1849). The presence of the steamship on the right suggests that it must date from after 1820, and the absence of the Custom House on the Liverpool shore indicates a date before 1828. A similar version of this work was recorded at the Boydell Galleries, Castle Street, Liverpool in 1975 which was previously owned by FT Sabin.
