Information

Blue glazed faience amulet in the form of an Egyptian lotus of lily amulet (Nymphaea caerulea). Suspension loop is missing and there is some damage to the top. Glaze is worn. Glued to card by Flaxman Spurrell with other amulets and beads excavated by Flinders Petrie at Tell el Amarna in 1892 to illustrate jewellery types. Annotated in red "TELL EL AMARNA. D.XVIII.
