Lycophidion ornatum Parker, 1936

Small snake with flat head and rather long tail. Colour: brown, red-brown or pinkish, sometimes uniform but normally a white band is present on the snout which extends along the side of the head past the eye. Some have double row of dark spots along the back. Length up to 60 cm.
