Information

This copy of Bi Community News (BCN) was given out free at Liverpool Pride 2015. BCN is the only magazine in the UK written specially for bisexual people and was founded following a workshop at the 1995 Bi Con, an annual educational and social gathering for bi people which has ran since 1984. Following the workshop, BCN was launched in October 1995 and has been published bi-monthly ever since. From 2007-2011 BCN produced a yearly guide to the bi scene and its history with a guide to books, films, and resources. In 2011 BCN was shortlisted for the Community Group or Organisation of the Year at the Homo Hero Awards. The magazine is currently edited by Jen Yockney and features news, events guides, book recommendations, and articles on issues affecting the bi community. BCN also acts as a postal box address for many bi groups, maintains the Bi Local Groups Network and regularly hosts weekends to bring together bisexual activists from across the UK.
