Male Bust

Portrait of a young man. The head looks slightly to the left with its soft round face and slightly protruding eyes under wide brows. It has thin worm-like locks of hair which cover the whole head and protrude outward at the temples, and down the face in sideburns. The drapery on his left shoulder may be either a chalmyx or a mantle of the ‘Schultermantelbausch’ type. Restorations include a patch on the left eyebrow, nose, mouth, and chin, and there is damage to the left cheek as well as the fact that the rims of the ears are missing.
