Male Bust

Portrait of a man restored on modern bust. Head is just under life-size and is turned very slightly to the right. The young man’s hair is cut short at the back while at the front long locks sweep onto the forehead and curl into each other; there is a parting above the inner corner of the right eye. He looks more like a boy than a young man because of his smooth skin and large eyes. The nose and bust have been restored, and there has been a lot of reworking to the face.
