Malpolon monspessulanus (Hermann, 1804)

Large snake with slender body and narrow head with large eyes. Pattern variable, ground colour grey, reddish-brown, greenish or blackish, may have scattered light or dark spots, flanks may be darker than back, belly often yellowish. Length up to 200 cm.
