A Map of Croxteth Park and its Demesnes
WAG 8652
Information
Croxteth Park and Hall were the country estate and ancestral home of the Earls of Sefton, the Molyneux family. The Park and Hall are now maintained by Liverpool City Council. This map shows the park, now Grade II listed, and its demesnes in 1740. A demesne is an area of estate land maintained by the owner for their own use, rather than land let to tenants. Richard Edge, the artist, has not been identified.
