D/MEP

Information

M.E.P. (Liverpool) Ltd. made hatch and grain shifting boards to prevent bulk grain from moving in a ship's hold. The older design of individual hatch boards was replaced by steel folding hatches from the 1960s, and the firm built their own design - "MEPCO" patent folding steel hatch covers. The collection came in in two deposits, the first in 1982 and the second one, relating to the winding up of the company, in 2009. It consists of 5 boxes, including various drawings, which are listed individually in the separate catalogue (Box 4?). The collection is stored offsite and will be recalled upon request. Please contact The Archives Centre with details of the items you wish to consult and to arrange a visit to the Searchroom.
