Mill on the Stream

Educated at Eton and Cambridge University, John Moyer Heathcote (1800 - 1892) was a patron and pupil of Peter De Wint (1784 - 1849). His work imitates De Wint's as does that of his sons, John Moyer Heathcote (1834 - 1912) and Charles Gilbert Heathcote (1841 - 1913). This drawing was originally attributed to De Wint.
