Millions of Years Amulet

Silver wire shaped to resemble a hieroglyph meaning 'Millions-of-years' and once worn as an amulet that symbolised eternity. Outer corroded silver wire is intact and the body of the deity is present but both arms are missing. From a robbed burial excavated by David Randall-MacIver and Arthur Mace in 1900 at Cemetery D at Abydos (Tomb D81).
