Miniature Vessel

Miniature vessel in the shape of a goblet. Rough & narrow shape, solid base with rounded rim. Miniature vessels like this one would have been used as offering in the mortuary cult of a private individual within a tomb chapel, or for royalty within the temple of a pyramid complex. Collected by Amy Urlin and Hilda Petrie by the pyramid of King Menkaure at Giza, November 1900. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Incomplete, surface loss, residue on surface, surface dirt.
