Model of a basket or lidded jar, with hole at the bottom for pegging in place on a scene. Wood is ant damaged and fragile. Small label stuck to the side with printed number 567. From Beni Hasan, cemetery below the Middle Kingdom rock-cut tombs: excavated by John Garstang of the Liverpool Institute of Archaeology, 1902-1904. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Extensively damaged by insect infestation, fragile, dry, surface dirt
