Model of a gaming board or it may be a model of a bench from a bakery or butchery model scene. Rectangualr with top deeply scored with 30 rectangles, with patches of black paint. Base marked in black BH 253. From Beni Hasan, cemetery below the Middle Kingdom rock-cut tombs: excavated by John Garstang of the Liverpool Institute of Archaeology, 1902-1904. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Incomplete, damage to corners, some holes in one end - insect?, white residue, dry, surface dirt, label stuck to the side.
