Model of a Quiver

Model of a quiver painted in black and white to imitate hide and reed stitching. Sticking out of the open end are the heads of five spears. Marked in black ink with the tomb number 816. From Beni Hasan, cemetery below the Middle Kingdom rock-cut tombs: excavated by John Garstang of the Liverpool Institute of Archaeology, 1902-1904.
