This is a sketch to illustrate a Liverpool Autumn Exhibition catalogue. Friswell was a landscape artist who lived in Suffolk for much of his life. He exhibited at the Liverpool Autumn Exhibitions, the Royal Academy, the Royal Society of British Artists and the Birmingham Royal Society of Artists, among others.
