Mould

Fragment of a red pottery mould used for the manufacture of small faience objects with the name of the Aten with royal titulary within a cartouche. Only the lower part of the cartouche remains with the name Aten clearly visible. There is also further damage on the left hand side of the mould. A dark coloured paste is still visible in the mould cavity. Rounded back to mould. CONDITION NOTE 1998: Incomplete, surface loss, pitted, discolouration, surface dirt.
