Reddish-brown mould of a fish impression. White spots are visible in and around the mould cavity. A string impression is also visible at the top of the design further suggesting its use. Rounded back to mould. Compare fish design with W M Flinders Petrie, Tell el-Amarna (London, 1894), plate. XV. no. 150. Find number 26/475: found in area U37.8-11 within the North Suburb at Tell el Amarna. Excavated by the Egypt Exploration Society in 1926. Acquired by the EES in the division of finds. Donated to the East Anglia Egyptian Society by the EES in recognition of a contribution to the EES (excavation subscription). Donated to Norwich Castle Museum. Purchased from the collections of Norwich Castle Museum in 1956 by Liverpool City Museum (now World Museum).
