Mould

Brownish-red pottery mould used for the manufacture of small faience objects in the shape of a daisy. A white substance is visible in and around the mould cavity suggesting its use. The mould is damaged on its underside. A string impression is also visible around the design. Irregular rounded back to mould. Compare with W M Flinders Petrie, Tell el-Amarna (London, 1894), plate.
