Mould

Small grey pottery mould used for the manufacture of small faience objects in the shape of a cornflower (without the petals). Compare with W M Flinders Petrie, Tell el-Amarna (London, 1894), plate XIX, no 494. A very faint substance is visible in the mould cavity. Burn marks are also visible around the design. There are cracks around the edges and back of mould. Irregular rounded back to mould.
