Mould

Reddish-brown pottery mould used for the manufacture of small faience objects with the names Nefertiti and Nefernefruaten within cartouches. White paste is still visible in and around the mould cavity. A string impression is visible on the left and right hand side of the cartouches. Rounded back to mould. Compare with W M Flinders Petrie, Tell el-Amarna (London, 1894), plate XV. no. 82.
