Mrs William Hesketh Lever

Ford's bust of Lady Lever is a fine example of his skill and proficiency in this area. The intricately carved lacework of her dress is a particularly notable feature and is similar to that depicted in Luke Fildes' portrait (LL 3115) which was commissioned in 1896. Ford also made a bust of Lord Lever (LL 51) in the same year as a pair to this bust.
