Mummified falcon mummy. Linen bandages removed at some point after removal from a votive deposit. 


Part of a donation made by Mr H. Heap of bird skins from Egypt, collected in March 1875, this one being the only ancient specimen, with the others being in the zoology collections. Label that was attached to the mummy was one of the MUS. DERBIANUM, LIVERPOOL'. 

CONDITION NOTE 1998: No bindings, feathers damaged, head  loose held on by a pin/nail?
