Mummy Bandage

Cutting of white linen mummy wrapping. Was repurposed c. 1912 to wrap around a a model figure 55.82.1 to replace original linen that had deteriorated. From Beni Hasan, cemetery below the Middle Kingdom rock-cut tombs: excavated by John Garstang of the Liverpool Institute of Archaeology, 1902-1904.
