Fragments of a gilded cartonnage collar placed over the chest of a mummy.
CONDITION NOTE (1998): Incomplete, cracked surface, surface dirt.
Wellcome Historical Medical Museum accession no. 243719. Purchased at Sotheby's, London, 22 October 1934 (Mansoor Abd Essayid collection) Lot 145/31 "Two Masks; four Collars; a Winged Nut; a winged Scarabaeus; eight Figures of funerary Deities; eight Fragments of Bands; and five Sandals, in cartonnage painted and gilt". Back of two fragments marked in pencil 5.12.6 written over 2 circled.
