Inscribed band from a cartonnage covering placed over the legs of a mummy. Broken in two pieces. Compare with Michael C. Carlos Museum accession no. 2018.010.639.

Purchased at Sotheby's, London, 22 October 1934 (Mansoor Abd Essayid collection) Lot 145/31 "Two Masks; four Collars; a Winged Nut; a winged Scarabaeus; eight Figures of funerary Deities; eight Fragments of Bands; and five Sandals, in cartonnage painted and gilt". Marked on the back in pencil 4.12.6 written over 5.
