Mummy Covering

Fragment of cartonnage with winged scarab, six panels of deities surrounding band of hieroglyphs. Label with ornate blue border annotated in black ink: "Bought from Egypt 1819 by Rev. R. M. Master". The same label is on another piece of cartonnage in the same style (no. 1973.2.433). CONDITION NOTE 1998: Textile is torn, holed and fraying, decoration is cracked , lifting , flaking, surface dirt, label adhered.
