Fragment of a painted cartonnage mummy covering. A rectangular panel with an image of the baboon-headed deity Hapy, one of the Four Sons of Horus. He is depicted in profile, facing left, wrapped like a mummy, wearing a collar and long blue wig, and holding before him a long folded red cloth. Beside his head black painted hieroglyphs spell out his name. Painted in red, blue, black and white on a yellow ground enclosed in a border of coloured rectangles. The back is stiffened plain linen. From the same burial as M11174b and M11174c. CONDITION NOTE 1998: top left edge damaged, loss of decoration, surface dirt, previous mount of carboard stuck to the back in places.
