Two fragments from two diffferent rishi style mummy masks. Both are very fragile and have been.consolidated with paraffin wax by the excavator The largest fragmert is from the lower part of the rear of the mask found within tomb 287 (John Garstang, ‘The Burial Customs of Ancient Egypt’. London (1907), pp. 174-176,  fig. 183). It shows a multicoloured necklace counterpoise. The smallest part is from a different mask (or cartonnage case?) and shows the left claw and tail of a hawk.  Smallest fragment dimensions: 284 x 149 mm.

CONDITION NOTE (1998): Fragmented but heavily held together/covered with wax, old infestation, fragile.
