Cartonnage mummy mask with gilded face. Damaged condition with three packets of loose fragments. Previously stuffed for suppport with cotton wool and newspaper pages from 1922. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Has been excessivly padded with newspaper and wadding which has caused some damage, the face has been squashed, the textile is torn in places and the gesso decoration is cracked, lifting and flaking, there are other areas of damage, label adhered.
