Information

A very small example of a votive figurine of a man or youth in the distinctive, elongated style. The solid cast figure is thin in cross section and stick like, with a small, flat rectangular tenon at its bottom end, presumably for fastening to a separate base. It depicts a standing, frontal figure with legs together, left arm against the side, and right arm outstretched to the side from the elbow. The beardless man wears a cloak with wide upper border draped over his left shoulder and covering his body to the ankles. The hands are carefully modeled, as are head and hair, marked with a band or fillet around the crown of the head. Gatty Slip says "found in Egypt".
