Mould-made schematic model of a uterus. Terracotta fabric; coarse, dull greyish orange with abundant dark red-brown particles, golden mica flecks and fine white inclusions. Traces of a thin, white slip on upper surface now tan in colour. This example is not hollow, but appears to be moulded and solid, with no vent, and is rounded on the sides.. The ridges on the surface are fewer, thicker and more rounded, the neck of the uterus more constricted, and the cervical region more widely flaring: on its truncated end are two hollows rather than one, indicating that it was hastily made.
