Offering

Votive head of youth in the round, hollow, on a plinth-like rectangular base with single, small vent hole below. The face was drawn from a mould, the rest completed by hand. Simply rendered features with short locks in front of ears, striated hair over forehead. The ears, now missing, appear to have been modeled separately and attached. Reddish-yellow clay with abundant black grit; traces of white slip with red paint applied over it on both head and base.
