Information

Small votive head formed of a moulded front panel attached to a plain slab modeled into a domed, convex back. The head retains a long thin neck and rounded plinth-base, and has schematic features (large round eyes with thick lids, small, soft mouth) and plain, striated locks of hair falling over the forehead. The back construction is rationalized as the edge of a veil or a man’s mantle pulled over his head in worship. Open below, the base crescent-shaped.
