ID: A bronze medal with a purple ribbon that reads “London 2012”. At the centre of the medal is a close-up image of the wings of the Greek Goddess of Victory. The rim of the medal reads “London 2012 Paralympic Games” in both braille and English. Partially sighted medium-distance runner David Devine, from Liverpool, won this bronze medal taking part in the T13 1500 metre race at the Paralympics in September 2012 in London. Representing Great Britain in the Games, he also won a bronze medal in the T12 800m the very next day. David’s victories for the GB Team haven’t stopped there. He brought home a silver medal from the 2016 World Para Athletics European Championships in Italy. He also represented the team at the 2020 Paralympic Games, held in Tokyo in 2021.
