Painted Jar

Lug handled jar with painted decoration in red with spirals. Typical of Naqada II/III pottery from further north in Egypt. From Liverpool University Institute of Archaeology excavations at Kostamneh, 1906. Marked by the excavator in pencil and black ink with the find number: 3 K'06 b. Marked with the John Garstang's collection number in black ink: GN 334.
