Papers of Norman Morrison, Liverpool Pilot 1923 - 1965

The collection comprises the career papers of Norman Morrison and documents used whilst working for the Liverpool Pilot Service, including maps and mark books. The papers of William Ted Hughes are included in the collection and focus on his time as a Commander in the Royal Navy Reserves in the early 1920s. Certificates of Service gained by Norman Morrison are also included in the collection. There are a number of photographs of Norman Morrison, William Ted Hughes and their associates. Drafts of written pieces produced by both Norman Morrison and William Ted Hughes are also part of the collection including a draft of the autobiography of Norman Morrison, written in 1978.
