A polished pebble stone probably used in conjunction with a palette for grinding eye-paint. Auction label stuck to the surface and one of Rev. William MacGregor's collection numbers '1760' printed in red on a small white label stuck to the surface. Excavated by Professor Petrie at Naqada. Purchased at Sotheby's, London, 26 June - 6 July 1922 (MacGregor Collection) Lot 1104.
