Pendant

Miniature pendant vase constructed of sheet gold in the form of a jar with nearly spherical body, wide, cylindrical neck with two upright “handles” functioning as suspension loops for the pendant. The wire of each handle is curved in a spiral at both ends. Wire with a filed, beaded profile covers the joint of neck and body of the vase, and also surrounds the top of the neck. A circle of beaded wire set in a dimple in the base simulates a granulated rosette pattern. The body and neck are deeply indented, trapping inside the perfume-pin, which has a small disc on upper surface to function as the “cap” to the jar. The sides of the spherical vase are crushed.
