Small vase in blue, glass, core-formed in the shape of an oenochoe (jug) with round torus base, narrow bottom and bulbous body, long tapering neck with ring-moulding at mid-point, and wide trefoil mouth supporting a high band handle. The surface of the body has three irregular knobs pulled up from its surface, hence the nickname 'hedgehog vase'. The glass is bright blue, in some places still translucent, although the surfaces are slightly eroded. Restored on lip, base, handle, with a brown, clay-like material; some knobs are broken off.

These small perfume vases are evidence for a glass workshop established somewhere in Italy, probably by Phoenician artisans. The forms are unique to Etruria/central Italy and are not imports.
