Personal log book of Commodore Thomas Edward (Jack) Cooper, 25 June 1891 - 28 October 1970. Went to sea in 1906 aged 16 on ship Sandon Hall of Liverpool later served with Ellerman and Bucknall. Sailed in First and Second World Wars. Retired 31 December 1956, diary covers period up to 1968. Includes notes on his family, his career and major events in world history. Photograph as a young officer included in front of volume.
