Information

Fragmentary disc from a Kranzspiegel-type (“wreath-mirror”) hand-mirror, cast in one piece with handle (missing). Toothed edge on obverse, traces only of engraved decoration on reverse, as indicated by inscribed names along flat border. Traces of name “Elene” (Helen) and a wreath of flowers and tendrils. Broken into several pieces (6 extant), heavily corroded (probably fire-damage from 1941, the metal has separated into layers of colors, black, white, green, etc.)
