Personal Mirror

Small hand-mirror cast in one piece with a thin, curved handle that would originally have ended in a doe’s-head finial (missing). Obverse has crude, cast, toothed edge; reverse has engraved scene in flat border: Confronted Dioscuri in tunics, separated by a four-pointed star. Two joining fragments preserve about three-quarters of the disc; dark green patina, traces of lacquering from modern conservation.
